The Food Network Show Comes to the Coast of Georgia
If you live in or have visited the Golden Isles of Georgia you know that we have some of the best food on the East Coast (okay, we may be a little biased!). So, it was no surprise that Guy Fieri and the famous Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives visited the Golden Isles to feature some of our favorite food spots on St Simons Island and in Brunswick, Georgia at the beginning of this year, 2024.
The Golden Isles eateries featured on the famous Food Network show were featured in this year’s season of Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives. One of our personal favorites, Southern Soul BBQ, has been featured several times over the course of the years of Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives. It must be a favorite of Guy Fieri’s that he likes so much that he keeps returning to for those pulled pork sandwiches and slow cooked ribs!

Guy Fieri also ventured over to nearby downtown historic Brunswick to dine at Indigo Coastal Shanty. Our favorite, the fisherman’s bowl, was featured on the show. The fisherman’s bowl is an amazing blend of local shrimp and catch of the day in a delicious broth with fennel, and tomatoes, and topped with feta cheese. Yes, it is as good as it sounds!
With all of the amazing food at our fingertips in the Golden Isles it’s no surprise that Guy Fieri would want to visit our area. If you decide to vacation on St Simons, don’t forget to check out some of these amazing restaurants. The hardest part will be deciding which one to start with!
